You do, in your own infrastructure or cloud accounts, and we set it up and operate it with you. That is the point: your system, your data, your control. If you would rather we manage the infrastructure day to day, that sits within a maintenance partnership.

Can we migrate from Shopify or another platform?

Yes. We plan migrations around your trading calendar, move catalogue, customer and order history safely, and run the switchover as one controlled release. The honest caveat: migration is a meaningful project, which is one more reason we only recommend Medusa when the destination justifies it.

What does it cost to run compared with SaaS fees?

You exchange platform fees and transaction percentages for infrastructure costs and an engineering partnership. For standard stores, SaaS usually wins that comparison, which is why we say so above. For businesses paying heavily in fees, apps and workarounds, ownership usually wins, and we will do the arithmetic with you honestly on a call.
